To wine is dedicated to the name "Avdira", son of the god Hermes. According to Greek mythology, the half-god Heracles built the city of Abder in Thrace in memory of his friend, Abderus, when he was killed in the battle with the wild horses of Thracian king Diomedes. The label features the wild horse of Thrace.
Variety: 50% Limnio, 30% Syrah, 20% Pamiti
Similar To: Limnio vines produce high sugar weights which translate into noticeable alcohol levels similar to that of New-World Merlot and Syrah.
Tastes Like: Rich fruity berry and floral notes with hides of black pepper, chocolate, coffee, and toasty oak. Long herbaceous aftertaste with black forest fruits and spicy curry.
Pairs With: Best served with duck, goose and game birds along with spicy cheese.
